IPPON GEAR is a German judo equipment brand with an official international sports context. We work for athletes who need precise cut, competition eligibility and confidence in their gear at serious tournament level.
IPPON GEAR was founded in Abensberg in 2016 and has been built specifically for judo from the start. For us, it is not enough to offer judo gi as a product category. The goal is to offer gear that matches the athlete's level, task and competition calendar.
IPPONGEAR has been an official IJF brand since 2018 and an official supplier to the International Judo Federation. The brand is active on the IJF World Tour and European Judo Union events, while its role as a diamond judogi supplier for EJU reinforces its place in the professional judo environment.
Since May 2021, IPPON GEAR has also been officially available in Ukraine, and our site works as the exclusive distributor. That gives Ukrainian customers access to the current IPPON GEAR assortment, real selection support and the key competition-oriented product lines through an official local channel.
Models from the IJF Approved line carry official IJF certification and are eligible for tournaments at World Championships, European Championships, Grand Slam, Grand Prix, Olympic Games, Ukrainian Championships and European Cups.
Quality control is managed under the brand in Germany, while production is based in Pakistan, just like with many leading judo brands. This combines demanding sports oversight with experienced manufacturing of specialized judo apparel.
The catalog includes kids' gi, options for teens and adults, women's fits and licensed models for official starts. If you need competition-level gear, IPPON GEAR LEGEND 2 IJF Regular is one of the key reference points in the range.
At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, 32 athletes competed in IPPONGEAR. The brand equips 8 national teams on the way to the 2028 Olympics, and its key athletes include Lukas Krpalek, Barbara Matic, Anna-Maria Wagner, Matthias Casse and Sanne van Dijke.
For Ukrainian judoka, it matters that IPPONGEAR is not only globally visible but locally represented. Bogdan Iadov competed in the brand at Paris 2024, Yuliia Kurchenko is part of Team IPPONGEAR as a rising athlete, and Anton Savytskiy joined the team in 2026.
That creates a different level of confidence in the gear. You are choosing a brand seen not only in a catalog, but on world-level tatami, inside national teams and among athletes moving from international events toward the Olympic stage.
We work as the exclusive IPPON GEAR distributor in Ukraine, so this page is not just a brand statement. It also clarifies the official context behind the assortment presented on the site.
